Title: Software Development Engineer in Test

Job Summary:
We are seeking a candidate to fill a full time Software Development Engineer in Test position in our Westminster, CO engineering development team. The candidate will work closely with development and test teams to develop a testing framework, built on Android, that will be used as part of the software test and validation process. Success in this position will require the candidate to be highly organized and self motivated.  The candidate will also assist with maintaining and expanding current test frameworks..

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, setup, deploy, and maintain an automated testing environment on physical devices
  • Work closely with firmware development and testing teams to define, generate, document, and run automated testing
  • Work with developers to design the necessary test hooks to facilitate testing
  • Writing automated test scripts in the Android application using UiAutomator or Espresso
  • Generate detailed bug reports on findings,

Skills & Experience Required:     
  • Bachelors or associates degree in CS, CpE or relevant engineering field
  • 3+ years of experience
  • Experience in Java, Python or C++
  • Experience with Android or embedded device testing
  • Ability to work with people on changing requirements to deliver a quality product to the customer
  • Problem-solving and time management skills with motivation to work autonomously

Other / Prefered  Requirements:
  • Experience with source code control, build, bug tracking, and CIS systems such as GIT, Jenkins and Gerritt
  • Setting up and managing continuous integration continous deployment test systems
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban
  • Understanding of communications buses such as Serial, Ethernet or CAN Bus
  • Understanding of RF transmitter / receivers such as GPS,  Wi-Fi, Cellular, BlueTooth and ZigBee.
  • Travel (including international) is less than 10%
  • Masters degree in CS, CpE or other relevant engineering field
