Trimble is recruiting for a Regional Sales Manager to fill an opportunity in Australia.
Job Summary:
The Regional Sales Manager is accountable for the execution of all sales plans, strategies and the achievement of all sales goals in the region. Ensuring that each financial centre has a strong focus on business development, lead follow-up, cross selling, outside sales calling and customer service are critical for success.

Key Responsibilities:
- Leads, manages, coaches and develops a channel sales staff for maximum sales volume of the company's products and services in assigned territory, achieving or exceeding assigned goals.
- Ensures that each member of assigned channel sales staff has the tools and training necessary to perform his/her job in a way that will maximise contributions in achieving or exceeding company goals.
- Proposes strategic changes in company policies to improve success in the market.
- Participates in generating sales forecasts and setting of quotas and sales objectives for assigned territory.
- Provides input in the development of the departmental budget, then manages assigned budget, following company financial policies.
- Develops and maintains relationships with strategic partners, clients, and other key people outside of the company.
- Handles customer issues as they arise.
- Sales and Tech training when required.
- 50 – 60% travel domestically/internationally is required.
Skills & experienced required:
- At least 5 years within a similar position, including a minimum of 3 years of sales management experience preferred.
- Strong territory management skills.
- Proven sales management success in hiring, coaching, leading and mentoring a sales team.
- Excellent communication, presentation skills, creativity.
- English language proficiency, both verbal and written.
- Ability to build long term, professional relationships.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, energetic.
- Proficient PC and technology skills including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experienced in training and coaching sales teams to sell on a value-added basis against price competitors.
- Proven ability to write detailed, value-added sales proposals.
