CEC Sales Application Engineer
Location: Remote
Position Overview:
Directly interface with distributors and customers in support of onsite installations, training, and field implementation of Trimble earthmoving and paving machine guidance systems. You will work with the sales application engineers regionally in the implementation of dealer development to increase sales of Trimble products and services for earthmoving and paving. This person will also interface with distribution management and sales personnel, providing product training and assistance with job site demonstrations to win major account sales.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Provide internal and distributor technical sales support
- Support strategic OEM partnerships related to Trimble earthmoving and paving machine guidance systems
- Participate in new product releases and beta cycles to ensure information and training requirements are met to support new product sales to dealers
- Provide outstanding quality pre-sales support with a high degree of customer satisfaction and technical expertise, with a thorough and timely response to customers
- 70% travel throughout North America
- 3+ years of civil construction related experience

- A team player who is solution driven with the ability to multitask effectively
- Strong aptitude in construction operations and surveying techniques for road construction, earthmoving, and industrial and residential development, with a demonstrated technical capability in both GPS and traditional optical methods.
- Mechanical aptitude and a sound knowledge of 2D and 3D technology and hydraulic and electrical installations
- Experience with earthmoving, paving, and road milling operations
- CAD software and 3D modeling knowledge
- Experience with the following Trimble systems and capabilities:
- GNSS, UTS, and Site Positioning System set-up and operations
- Business Center – Heavy Construction Edition for data management
- GCS900, Earthworks, or PCS900 3D Machine Guidance Solutions
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or Survey Engineering
