Associate Data Collection Engineer

Trader Interactive is seeking an Associate Data Collection Engineer to join our team!

A successful person in this role is talented, passionate about and capable of developing, maintaining, testing, and evaluating data solutions and technologies in support of several classified advertising businesses. You will focus on working with large collections of both structured and unstructured data to transform its contents into meaningful information. A degree in information technology or an equivalent, and programming experience in Python is required. Previous experience in a RPA platform is a plus. 

Responsibilities include: 
  • Gather and process raw data at scale (including writing scripts, web scraping, calling APIs, writing SQL queries, etc.)
  • Process unstructured data into a form suitable for analysis – and then help do the analysis.
  • Recognize trends and patterns through careful analysis, delivering meaningful conclusions back to the business.
  • While performing the above duties recognize patterns in the data such as product release windows, product upgrade features, product discontinuations and the like.
  • Notify product owners and business analysts of these insights

This is a full-time employee role based in our home office in Norfolk, Virginia. Relocation assistance and temporary housing assistance may be available for selected candidates.
