Development Officer

TPIRC is a non-profit clinical care and research center that focuses on the development of cutting-edge, individualized treatment protocols for rare and orphan diseases utilizing comprehensive diagnostic tools and patient-driven research. Our treatment programs are one of a kind with unmatched success rates. Our team is rapidly growing and we are looking for new members to support our mission. 

 We are looking for a Development Officer to assist our growing organization in managing all aspects of annual gifts. Responsibilities include growing and maintaining a comprehensive campaign gifts program focused on attracting gifts in excess of $10,000. The person in this position is expected to build strong relationships with major giving donors/prospects and actively develop a major giving pipeline of larger gifts and increased revenue.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building a portfolio of major donors through research and targeted outreach to warm and cold leads. 
  • Managing donor prospects from identification and qualification through cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. 
  • Identify and research prospective donors; update research on existing donors.
  • Work collaboratively with Director of Philanthropy on all individual giving elements and fundraising events
  • Develop weekly metrics-based tracking for reporting progress
  • Collaborate with Director of Philanthropy to support planning and execution of events
  • Develop a weekly metric for reporting progress
  • Maintain records in donor database
 

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four year college/university preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Strong creative talent and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to balance high-priority, long-term projects with short-term, immediate deadlines
  • The ability to anticipate needs
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast paced, rapidly-changing entrepreneurial environment
  • Attention to detail, ability to multi-task and prioritize, and strong organizational skills
  • Knowledgeable about principles and practices of organization, planning and records management
  • Confidence and skill handling clients in person and on the phone
  • Excellent proficiency with Google G Suite, MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Google Docs
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of various social media networks
