Overview 

This Sr. Manager, NPI, will lead the introduction of Tonal’s new products.  You excel at ensuring product manufacturability and reliability while meeting launch schedule and a seamless transition from engineering to operations.


What You Will Do

  • Set timelines and deadlines, including launch dates, for key milestones, such as tool (part) release, product development builds
  • Contribute to the product design and own Design for Manufacturability and Testability
  • Work with Engineering and Quality to ensure product reliability
  • Develop and monitor budget for the product implementation from prototyping to production
  • Manage the production of prototypes, EVT, DVT, PVT, samples, and control builds through outsourced partners
  • Identify the potential issues and risks to the product implementation
  • Manage the communication with vendors, suppliers, and internal members of the program team
  • Publish the program’s progress information to the management team
  • Ensure the transition from engineering to production is smooth
 

Who You Are

  • 10+ years of in-house and outsourced consumer electronics manufacturing experience
  • BS Degree in ME, IE, EE, business or similar.  MBA is a plus
  • Experience in EMS/ODM
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electronic, and electro-mechanical fabrication, assembly, and test operations
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with Asia supply chains
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience within a hyper-growth startup preferred 
  • Master in Excel/Google Sheets and PLM system
  • Must be able to apply statistics, capacity planning, and time-motion study  
  • Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems
  • Experience with strategic projects and analysis
