Thrive Global is seeking an idea-driven, multidisciplinary designer with a passion for making great work across Thrive’s content studio and enterprise business. The ideal candidate mixes an obsession with design with a strategic mind to handle differentiate work streams. The right candidate is a passionate visual storyteller with a portfolio showing your experience executing world-class design that span across different platforms. You’re organized and know how to meet tight deadlines, even if that sometimes means extra effort.
This role would operate graphic design support across our business, from pre-sale brainstorming to post-sale design execution, creating industry-leading visuals across Thrive’s brand deals, assisting our Creative Director with creating marketing materials and presentation decks for our clients and our B2B enterprise curriculum, and graphic design support for our editorial and social team.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
•Design a variety of high-quality visuals and layouts to support Thrive’s communications across a variety of channels, including social campaigns, editorial, corporate, presentation decks and printed collateral.
• Assist Creative Director on executing art direction for client partners in post-sale
• Collaborate with Sales, Creative, Accounts, and our enterprise leaders to design presentation materials including presentation formatting, mocks, mood boards, storyboards, treatments, and illustration across pre and post-sale.
• Collaborate closely with creative team to develop and institute innovative design solutions
• Manage relationships with motion graphics, illustration and visual freelancers and production companies. Inclusive of: managing timelines, leading the art direction, pricing etc
• Concept and create briefs, logos, title treatments for brand partners
• Work in partnership with editorial leadership to assist with graphic packages for cross-platform franchises and content initiatives.
Experience / Education
- 2–4 years of relevant multi-disciplinary design experience
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, communication design, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Qualifications and Skills
- 2-3 years experience in Graphic/motion design with a high-volume deadline driven company
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint) and Google Drive (Google Slides)
- A varied and robust portfolio of past work indicating your qualifications in branding and/or design
- Deep understanding of social
- Excellent communication skills, in person and in various written formats (Slack, email, etc.)
- Attention to detail and accuracy is a must
- Highly collaborative, organized, and a self-starter
- Clear and effective written and verbal communicator, experienced in presenting to senior creative and strategic leadership
- Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative, flexible team member with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn
- Bonus points for experience in illustration and data visualization / information design
- A strong, dynamic portfolio showcasing strengths in typography, design systems, visual storytelling, presentation design, and a refined finesse across digital and print channels
