Thrive Global is looking for a Social Media Manager to join our team. As Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for the brand’s daily social media presence across all platforms, helping to lead the cultural conversation around health, well-being, and performance. In this role, you will manage the brand’s presence across social platforms including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. You will implement social media strategy under the leadership of our Social Media Director, track performance and work in partnership with the Audience Development team to increase audience engagement; maintain consistency of voice and visuals, develop creative social media ideas that leverage the latest insights on social tools, and ensure high editorial standards. At least 2 years of dedicated social media experience is required; familiarity with the health and well-being space is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily strategic planning for social content across Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, including scheduling and managing the daily publish and optimizing editorial content for social promotion in partnership with the editorial team.
- Oversee optimization and manage daily publish calendar on all platforms.
- Ideate and execute regular social franchises that speak to Thrive’s mission.
- Write polished, accurate, optimized, engaging copy across platform content, including social media responses to daily cultural news aligned with the Thrive brand.
- In partnership with editorial leadership, develop and implement platform-specific strategies to increase Thrive’s social following across platforms
- Own data and analytics management and reporting across all social platforms, including monitoring real-time traffic reporting and pivot and optimize strategy in response to data feedback.
- Track emerging social media platforms; work with the content and product teams to develop and test new platforms and products
About You:
- Proven track record of success optimizing and ideating social media content for a fast-paced digital media brand or company
- A keen and discriminating visual eye
- Digital newsroom experience is preferred
- Passion for and understanding of all leading social platforms
- Ability to prioritize and meet multiple deadlines
- Strong command of social media best practices, with the ability to partner with editorial leadership to apply on-brand best practices
- Some experience with data analytics tools and the ability to make decisions based on data
- Experience writing smart, optimized, engaging social media copy, including writing headlines and social language, and selecting images with social reach potential
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated interest in topics relating to Thrive Global’s mission, including well-being, productivity, neuroscience, psychology, managing technology, performance, and wisdom
- Passion for ending the culture of corporate burnout
