Thrive Causemetics was born out of a friendship. Makeup artist and product developer, Karissa Bodnar, lost her dear friend Kristy to cancer at just 24 years old. Kristy’s compassionate and vivacious spirit inspired Karissa to establish Thrive Causemetics, a beauty brand and philosophy that goes beyond skin deep by empowering women.

Thrive Causemetics is Beauty with a Purpose: for every product purchased one is donated to help a woman thrive. We believe changing the world starts with a single ingredient, and that’s why we create vegan, 100% cruelty-free formulas containing proven ingredients without the use of parabens and sulfates. All of our high-performance cosmetics are developed with our customer in mind. We control every step of the product development process.

  • Assist in developing strategic brand plans to maximize revenue and establish own-able positioning in a competitive marketplace
  • Develop and execute 360-degree consumer-facing marketing plans 
  • Contribute innovative new ideas for products, sampling and collateral to meet consumer demands and elevate brand performance
  • Responsible for managing and advancing all new product launch timelines 
  • Evaluates competitive landscape and provides recommendations on formula, packaging, price 
  • Responsible for ensuring all Packaging Artwork meets deadlines in a timely manner 
  • Responsible for ensuring all Packaging Briefs are up to date 
  • Work closely with Operations to predict/manage Packaging Artwork requests 
  • Work with Senior Brand Manager to develop product positioning documents for future products as well as updating existing product positioning documents for re-promotion
  • Provides post launch analysis to evaluate the success of recent launches and to help design potential improvements for the future
  • Analyze low performing skus and make recommendations to increase performance 
  • Help plan and execute all Brand Marketing related photoshoots 
  • Key liaison for Ecommerce team – providing initial feedback/direction of all web content in preparation for final review by senior leadership  
  • Responsible for writing product copy for all sets/promotional skus
  • Propose strategy plans for core/new products, online promotions, GWPs, etc

  • Working knowledge of beauty, fashion and social trends that are relevant to the continued evolution of the business
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, multi-tasking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Outlook; proficiency in Excel/PowerPoint/Word is absolutely necessary
  • Strong copywriting skills 
  • Beauty industry experience preferred
