Thrive Causemetics was born out of a friendship. Makeup artist and product developer, Karissa Bodnar, lost her dear friend Kristy to cancer at just 24 years old. Kristy’s compassionate and vivacious spirit inspired Karissa to establish Thrive Causemetics, a beauty brand and philosophy that goes beyond skin deep by empowering women.

Thrive Causemetics is Beauty with a Purpose: for every product purchased, one is donated to help a woman thrive. We believe changing the world starts with a single ingredient, and that’s why we create vegan, 100% cruelty-free formulas containing proven ingredients without the use of parabens, sulfates, or toxins. All of our high-performance cosmetics are developed at Thrive Lab in Seattle—we control every step of the product development process.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for doing anything and everything to contribute to our team's success. We are a team and often work outside of our traditional job descriptions. There is no such thing as "that's not my job" at Thrive Causemetics. 
  • Assist Creative Director and Growth Marketing team with day-to-day creative management
  • Design digital assets that support marketing initiatives
  • Design emails on a daily basis
  • Design a variety of digital advertisements on a weekly basis for Instagram, Facebook , Pinterest and Google Ads
  • Design social media graphics
  • Design web banners
  • Support website design
  • Develop mockups to support brand packaging and collateral
  • Conceptualize and produce video content
  • Produce a broad range of deliverables, including layouts, graphics, and templates
  • Maintain organized archive of all artwork files
  • Create artwork for new products and packaging
  • Edit lifestyle and product photos as needed
  • Work collaboratively with Growth Marketing, Brand Marketing and Product Development teams 

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years design experience, preferably in agency or start-up environments
  • Mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop and Illustrator) 
  • Knowledge of HTML5, CSS, Javascript
  • Experience in product and packaging design preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of best practices in direct response acquisition and e-commerce
  • Strong capability to extend creative assets across various platforms and devices
  • Strong digital experience: banner design, web, email design and social media design
  • Ability to communicate effectively internal teams, including senior management and peers
  • Willingness to work as part of a team and complete other tasks, as assigned
  • US citizenship or permanent residency required
