We’re hiring an Engagement Director in support of our west coast clients. Grow is a creative innovation agency. Our Engagement Director will be based on the west coast and will be responsible for developing client relationships, building organic growth, and fielding new opportunities within our west coast client base.
The position requires proven success in growing active client engagements, bringing insightful perspective on how digital can address client business needs, and juggling multiple demands in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate is a go-getter, exceptional communicator, and strategic thinker who quickly becomes a trusted partner to their peers and clients alike.
Primary responsibilities:
- Expand Grow’s relationships within our existing west coast client base to build rapport, make new connections, increase our visibility, and generate new opportunities
- Steer the development of our responses to requests for proposals from west coast clients and leads, providing a strategic POV on Grow’s approach to the work and articulating relevant experience from our portfolio of work
- Define the initial engagement on new opportunities with west coast clients, providing clarity around the brief, alignment on the measures of success and a perspective on the scope of work to ensure a seamless handoff to our client engagement leads, strategists and producers who will drive the day-to-day work
- Drive opportunity development among west coast leads, which may include presenting Grow agency capabilities, participating in client briefings, initiating client planning conversations and proposing approaches for working together
- Assess inbound project opportunities from west coast clients to help identify potential fit and summarize the opportunity for consideration by the leadership team
Minimum of seven years of experience within a creative agency or similar environment required. Confidence presenting to clients and knowledge of the digital space is a must.
Location
This is a full-time remote position on the west coast. The candidate will either be based in Portland, OR or San Francisco, CA and have the ability to travel to client offices along the west coast as well as to Grow’s headquarters in Norfolk, VA as needed. Travel may account for up to 25% of this role.
