Community Manager

As a Community Manager, you will be responsible for creating incredible on-the-ground experiences for prospective students, current students, and alumni that engage, delight, and drive growth and other outcomes across the student lifecycle.

This role is strategic and tactical, deeply data-driven, and cross-functional. You will be responsible for a geographical territory that consists of 5 cities, where you’ll need to quickly become an expert on local student needs, market opportunities, tech culture and communities, and career/workforce development opportunities. You’ll also be the face of the company in your cities, and responsible for developing rich local relationships.

In the nearterm, 75% of your role is focused on growth and driving new leads in your cities. You’ll do this by running previously-validated event formats, working with the team to design new formats that expand our reach and depth. Your success will be clearly measured by your ability to hit city and territory targets

The other 25% of your time will be focused on fostering our communities at large, including our student and grad communities, with an eye toward student satisfaction, referrals, retention, and network effects. This is the more experimental side of your role, and an amazing opportunity to test creative and exciting tactics that help evolve our thinking about local engagement.

You will achieve your goals by leveraging local teams, collaborating internally with Local Operations Managers and cross-functionally with Marketing, Admissions, Student Success, and Careers, and externally within city networks.

Responsibilities
  1. Lead the design, coordination, and execution of local experiences in 5 cities to drive new leads and achieve secondary KPI targets, all while building local brand equity and network velocity.
  2. Using feedback mechanisms, market analysis, and stakeholder input, continuously test, iterate, and innovate to achieve strategic goals -- continually questioning your assumptions and redesign your execution plan to achieve greater results.
  3. Build strong relationships internally and externally with local thought leaders, organizations, and career partners to deepen city networks; become a connector and leader within local networks.
  4. Regularly report your strategy and outcomes to internal team members and internal stakeholders.
  5. Collaborate with team members to document your processes and outcomes, developing playbooks that allow us to scale to new markets and train new team members.
