Salesforce Solution Architect

Location: Houston, Texas or Remote (US only) 

Travel percentage: Up to 40%

Position Description: 

  • Collaborating with clients and project managers to determine project requirements and creating specific solutions for the client
  • Communicating the business requirements and subsequent technical dependencies with our internal teams
  • Creating a plan to implement the various components, and setting goals 
  • Working with clients throughout the implementation process, from inception to completion, and often after completion to provide full lifecycle support
  • Leading or directing teams to execute the project
  • Drafting Functional Specification documentation
  • Understand project requirements and dependencies
  • Perform code reviews and document these reviews, including any configurations or customizations (if applicable)
  • Create integration processes via Salesforce.com’s Web Services API and third-party integration tools such as Informatica and custom web applications
  • Determining data requirements, then migrating and transforming data, through tools such as SQL Server and Apex Data Loader
  • Run User Acceptance Testing, and resolve any Trouble Reports
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert throughout the duration of all client projects

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • B.S. in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
  • 2  years of mid-commercial market experience (200-2,000 employees) working with multiple clients, as a consultant or similar role
  • Deep understanding of the Force.com platform (i.e. Web Services, Visualforce, Apex, related applications)
  • Experience in migrating from one service platform to the other 
  • 2 years of SalesForce.com project implementation; this includes design, development and implementation experience with SFDC (service cloud)
  • Ability to work closely with clients and explain technology to non-technical clients
  • Understand SQL and relational databases
  • Understand third-party apps and Exchange apps
  • Ability to work independently, prioritizing your workflow and managing your own time
