Business Development Associate

Tenor is looking to add a Business Development Associate with 1-3 years of experience (candidates with more experience will be considered) to join our growing business development team. You will be responsible for driving the sales process with prospective partners and owning the relationship with existing partners, including expanding our product and organizational footprint. You will work closely with potential and existing partners to understand their business objectives and act as their trusted advisor in getting the most out of Tenor.

  • Own the end to end sales relationship with multiple partner prospects, including thoughtfully sourcing, pitching, following up, and negotiating a number of prospects each week
  • Own the end to end relationship with multiple existing partners, including managing the integration project from start to finish, sharing usage data, and identifying additional opportunities per partner
  • Effectively demonstrate to prospects the value of Tenor through calls, pitch decks, and client-facing meetings
  • Improve and manage Customer Relationship Management tools
  • Regularly evaluate inbound integrations and identify partners with whom to build a relationship
  • Work with cross-functional teams to drive business development projects

  • 1-3 years in business development, sales, partnership management, or similar roles
  • Experience in prospecting and closing
  • Communication and presentation skills; must be dynamic in presenting ideas and explaining our APIs to partners and prospective partners in the VP to C-suite level
  • Detail-oriented, self-starter, and comfortable with ambiguity
  • Must work well in a close team environment, one with a heavy focus on closing and partner management
