Associate Director Media Planning

Role – Associate Director Media Planning 

  • Strategic media planning and implementation for broadcaster client
  • Give recommendations on channel/ program launches, time-slots, TG, market priorities, promo planning guidelines, slot analysis, lapsers vs new audience
  • Relationship management with key stake holders across clients
  • Driving the digital agenda and media integration
  • Responsible for revenue growth on clients
  • Initiation & mastering of planning activities along with the team 
  • Competitive data mining & formatting. Creating competitive reports from excel to power point to derive insights from data. 
  • Working collaboratively with team members to develop and manage integrated media plans across mediums including TV and Print 
  • Create and maintain media plans, flowcharts, buying guidelines, budget summaries, plan implementation and competitive reports 
  • Manage the day-to-day implementation, optimization and performance of on-going campaigns. Assist in strategic analysis of campaigns 
  • Manage day-to-day client interaction 

Prior Experience: 

  • 5 + years experience in a media organization with thorough understanding of the media process, media departments and inter department relationships 
  • Media planning experience on non broadcaster clients will be an added advantage
  • Knowledge and application of media systems, planning concepts (reach , frequency, average OTS, CPRP, GRPs, etc) packages and data bases 
  • Experience with syndicated software like BARC, IRS, MAP, RAM and TGI  - has to be a master in BARC
  • Constructing media plans to deliver brand campaign objectives

• Strong time management and speed of delivery 
• Conscientious with the ability to multi-task and work well under tight deadlines 
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 
• Good communication skills - written and oral 
• Demonstrated ability to generate and present well-considered ideas and solutions 
• Strong organisational and analytical skills (at manager level) 
Education: Bachelor’s / Masters degree in related field (advertising, marketing, communication)
