About Us
Lapp Millwright LLC is a small but growing company, and we are ready to take the “next step” in business development by adding a new outside sales representative to our team.In looking at our target market, we realize we are only scratching the surface of the opportunities available. We are looking for an outside sales rep who is excited to help us grow, serve more customers and build deeper business relationships with existing customers. We provide fabrication, installation, maintenance and repairs for dust collection systems for food service, manufacturers and feed mills.
 
About our Outside Sales Rep position…
  • Learn about our industry and products by helping with installs and doing “ride alongs” with sales calls
  • Follow Up with our existing leads
  • Generate new leads through referrals and cold calling companies in our target market
  • Compile all in the information needed and generate an estimate
  • Present the estimate to the customer and close the deal
  • 50/50mix of time on the road meeting with customers and in the office preparing quotes
 
Our Ideal Outside Sales Rep…
  • Mechanical: Able to learn our products and sell them to customers
  • Consultative: Takes time to understand the unique needs of our customers and help them develop the solution that will best meet their needs.
  • Experienced: Track record of success in outside sales is required. We are willing to train, but a background in one of these areas is helpful – farm or agricultural equipment, manufacturing equipment, Commercial HVAC, structural steel fabrication or similar product/service line.
  • Closer: Able to build relationships with our customers and have the persistence, follow up and skill to close the deal
  • Team Player: Humble enough to admit mistakes. Drive to do great work. Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Relational: Able to build great rapport with customers to secure repeat business and fun to work with as part of our team.
  • Active: Able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb a ladder to take measurements and be on your feet
