One of the region’s leading providers of mental and behavioral health services is looking for a full-time Behavioral Health Intake Specialist to complete intakes and guide clients and their families through the process of entering their BHRS program.
As a Behavioral Health Intake Specialist
· Interview patients and family members to obtain information about the home’s environment, family, relationships and health
· Identifying goals and intervention techniques specific to the needs of each client and his/her family through the functional behavior assessment
· Recommend services based on the needs of the child/adolescent
· Provides initial consultation to the treatment team and designs and directs the implementation of an individualized plan
Our Ideal Behavioral Health Intake Specialist
- Master’s Degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field
- License Required – BSL, LPC, or LSW
- Experience working with clients in home settings
- Able to quickly and compassionately build rapport and therapeutic relationships with clients
- Able to work a mix of day and evening hours – up to 2 evenings per week
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail and timeliness of paperwork
