Weidner Automation is looking for an Automation Controls Engineer with experience in designing PLC based control systems, PLC and HMI programming, and commissioning industrial automation control systems. The Automation & Control Systems Engineer will work on individual projects where they will be expected to work on several different tasks—drafting, design, PLC and HMI programming, etc. and they will occasionally work as a member of a project team, where they may have only one specific task to accomplish.
Our Automation Controls Systems Engineer Will…
· Collaborateclosely with coworkers and customers on PLC and HMI programming projects
· Contributeto the panel layout design and electrical wiring diagrams
· Troubleshootindustrial control systems for our customers
· Assistwith electrical upgrades and modifications to existing systems
· Coordinatewith the customer to schedule and execute the installation of systems
· Work with PLC’s, HMI’s and sensors from a variety of manufacturers including Allen-Bradley, Siemens, GE Automation, Schneider Electric, Banner Engineering, Omron, Red Lion Controls, Idec, & Mitsubishi Electric
· Ensuredesigned systems meet current electrical and safety codes and standards
· Create automation project documents such asFunctional Specifications, Factory Acceptance Test procedures, and Site Acceptance Testing documents
· Work on-site at customer facilities for trouble shooting and installation activities
· Travelto our Lititz office for meetings as needed, as well as travel out to visit with customers. Most work can be done remotely.

· Good Communicator: Able to communicate effectively with teammates and customers verbally & in writing
· Flexible:As part of a small team, you will see a variety of projects and be assigned a variety of responsibilities depending on your strengths and the current workload. We are looking for someone who is willing to adapt and change as the company grows.
· Organized:Working independently means you need to organize your time to ensure deadlines are met.
· Willing to Travel:Some on-site time will be required for meetings, installation, trouble shooting, etc. Most customers are in the Central PA region.
