ENTER TARA AI
Tara AI is an intelligent product builder, leveraging machine learning to speed the software development of products. Our engine analyzes open source repositories and code residing on the open web to structure, scope and build software projects for product owners across a variety of industries. F500 companies are sitting on a treasure trove of data in their project management systems, git version control and workforce directories. The platform connects to this data via an API, and using ML models, predicting how to build software (technical tasks), how long projects should take (timeline) and determine who will execute (team) when starting a new project.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY
The founding solutions engineer role will be the trusted advisor to Tara AI prospects and clients, showing how the platform addresses business requirements for clients. The solutions engineer will be responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation and validation stages of the sales process. You will be the product advocate for Tara AI’s Enterprise Edition, serving as the demo and solution expert, focusing on the technical solution while also understanding the business challenges the customer is trying to overcome. The Solutions Engineer provides the opportunity to help drive value and change in the world of product management and product development for one of the fastest growing platforms. By applying your solution selling and architecture experience from planning to monitoring, you will support and enable successful adoption of the Tara AI platform. You will be working collaboratively with our sales, engineering, product management and marketing organizations.
This role provides technical guidance and support throughout the entire sales cycle. You will have the opportunity to help shape and execute a strategy to build mindshare and broad use of the Tara AI platform within enterprise customers becoming the trusted advisor. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in software/technology sales or consulting. The ability to connect technology with measurable business value is critical to a solutions engineer. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, products, process and technical challenges.
Responsibilities
- Primarily engaged in a technical consultancy role, providing technical assistance and guidance specific to enterprise level implementations, during the pre-sales process by identifying customers technical and business requirements in order to map the use cases with solutions for customers and prospects.
- In partnership with the sales Account Executive, formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of Tara Platform.
- Educate customers of all sizes on the value proposition of Tara AI, and participate in all levels of discussions throughout the organization to ensure our solution is set up for successful deployment
- Work onsite with strategic, enterprise class customers, delivering solutions architecture consulting, technical guidance, knowledge transfer and establish “trusted advisor status”
- Author or otherwise contribute to Tara AI’s customer-facing publications such as whitepapers, blogs, flowcharts and diagrams
- Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be Tara AI advocates
- Serve as the customer advocate to other internal teams including Product Development, Sales and Marketing
- Present platform strategy, concepts and roadmap to technical leaders within customer organizations
- Own the demo system – upgrade, build clickable demos for upcoming releases
- Assist in customer onboarding and adoption post sale
- Document process and handoff to Customer Success Teams
Qualifications
- Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers
- Deep experience with GitHub to help with customer onboarding/integration etc.
- A strong understanding of IT infrastructure, governance, compliance and business process management
- Interest in working creatively with customers to understand technical and business requirements
- A demonstrable comfort in both facilitating and developing solutions
- Aptitude to proactively engage customers with aspirational and recommended technical deliverables in a self-driven manner
- Implement and test solutions based on requirements and customer feedback
- An understanding of several of these methodologies and tools:
Software development methods such as Agile, Scrum, Lean, Waterfall - Experience configuring the following technologies:
LDAP, ActiveDirectory, and other SAML/Single-Sign-on services - Strong ability to cheerfully handle client expectations and project scope during all stages of a client engagement

- B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent
