REQUIREMENTS
Education: BSc or MSc in engineering or physics
Previous Experience: 3-5 years
Required Knowledge:
Site assessment and wind resource analysis. Wind data processing and analysis.
Meteorology & Wind characterization
Advanced written and spoken English
Valuable Knowledge:
Wind Energy Experience
Wind turbine performances
Data statistics analysis techniques and tools
CFD Techniques
Wind measurements techniques and sensors
Spanish language
Information Technology:
Experience with wind energy field specific software (WAsP, WindPro, Windographer and CFD)
MISSION: Analyze the ambient and orographic conditions in the positions in which wind turbines are going to be installed to study the viability, performing the design and/or optimization of the wind farm for the most suitable model maximizing the energy
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform the design of micrositing and the optimization of wind farms
- Analyze wind and ambient conditions and perform classification according to IEC regulations
- Carry out the estimation of the wind resource
- Select positions for the power curve measurement
- Elaboration of calibration studies of sites for power curve measurement
- Verify power curve at locations
- Develop noise studies in wind farm
- Develop methodologies required according to regulations, mainly IEC 61400-1 and 61400-12
MOBILITY
- Possible initial training period in Spain, 3 to 6 months
- Afterwards approx. 2 - 3 travels to Spain per year, 1-2 weeks period each
