This position is at the newly-opening R&D center of a global leader in the wind energy industry.
REQUIREMENTS
- Education: BSc or MSc in Engineering
- Previous Experience: 3-5 years
Required Knowledge:
· Classic Control Theory Basis: S transform, Continuous Systems, Frequencies analysis methodologies, stability, root locus, …
· Model Control Theory Basis: State – Space Basis
· Discrete and Continuous Controller synthesis methods
· Theoretical and Experimental controllers setup
· Signal Conditioning and Digital Signal Filtering
· Matlab/Simulink Modeling and Control Tuning
· Advanced written and spoken English
Valuable Knowledge:
· Advanced Control Technologies knowledge
· Wind Energy Experience
· Simulation Environments: Bladed, Flex or Similar
· Spanish language.
Information Technology:
· Wind turbine aeroelastic calculation programs (GH Bladed, FLEX, HAWC, Fast, Phatas, HAWCStab), MATLAB/Simulink modelling environments
MISSION:
· Perform the Definition and Design of the Operation Safety System and the Operation Control System of the wind turbine fulfilling efficiently with the objectives specified for the control.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Perform the definition and design of the Operation Safety Strategy of the wind turbine
· Elaborate the definition of requirements of the sensors and actuators that affect the control system
· Analyse the integrity if the global functionality of the wind turbine from the point of view of the operation control and operation safety
· Collaborate in the execution of the validation proofs of the Operation Safety System and the Operation Control System by means of the generation of the test requirements and necessary simulations
· Collaborate in the analysis of the results of the wind turbine functional validation in those aspects related to the operation control and safety
· Collaborate in the generation of the functional specifications related with the operations control and safety systems focused to the physical systems in which these functionalities are implemented
· Perform the operation control adjustment for the different product configurations
· Supervise the work of control engineers
· Development of procedures according to the state of the art
· Make proposals for technology development
· Give technical support for the decision making related to wind turbine control and performances
· Promote the knowledge about Control in the company
MOBILITY
· Possible initial training period in Spain, 3 to 6 months
· Afterwards approx. 2 - 3 travels to Spain per year, 1-2 weeks period each
