System Studies Engineer

This position is at the newly opening R&D center of a global leader in the wind energy industry.

Tasks:
• Performing complex grid studies (Load flow, transient stability, short circuit analysis, …), incl. documentation of the results
• Coordination and project management of grid studies which will be performed by third parties
• Analysis of technical concepts oft he E-BOP design for Turnkey projects.
• Analysis of grid connection regulations of wind turbines, as well as their technical evaluation in terms of WTG electrical capabilities
• Technical clarifications with the relevant system operators regarding grid code requirements
• Support sales at customer appointments during contract negotiations regarding grid code requirements
• Represent SGRE in the relevant committees and keep up to date with the latest standards and directives related to electrical installations

Your qualifications:
• Successfully completed university / university of applies sciences degree in the field of electrical engineering
• Professional experience with one or more of the following simulation tools: DIgSILENT Power Factory, PSS/E, Matlab/Simulink, PSCAD/EMTDC or others similar
• Professional experience in the analysis of grid connection regulations of wind turbines
• Preferably you have experience in the field of wind turbine control systems
• Expertise in wind turbine Technologies and Systems
• Technological knowledge in low and medium voltage installations
• Proficient in English
• Intercultural experience
