Senior Consultant, Talent Acquisition

The Senior Consultant for Talent Function (TF) is responsible for delivering quality consulting, project management and support services to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction, as an individual contributor or a team member. We offer both employee and 1099 contract roles. This position will allow you to work from your home office and travel for client engagements when required. 


Service Delivery Expertise:
  • Provide strategic consulting on cloud-based talent acquisition technology solutions for mid to large size domestic, regional and global organizations
  • Follow TF delivery methodologies appropriate to the project and the consultant’s role, and promote industry best practices
  • Deliver high quality execution and completion rates on all engagements
  • Develop and/or implement effective change management strategies, including communications, testing and training programs
  • Demonstrate the highest level of ethical behavior and personal integrity 
  • Engage in positive and pro-active communication with peers and colleagues, building effective relationships within and across the business
Program Management Expertise:
  • Lead and coordinate overall project activities from pre-implementation planning through go-live stabilization
  • Define project charter, project core team and extended team, and establish project operation logistics
  • Develop implementation roadmap and create integrated project plan in collaboration with other stakeholders/task owners within the project
Project Management Expertise:
  • Provide implementation leadership and subject matter expertise throughout the implementation 
  • Develop and execute project plans resulting in on-time and within-budget service delivery
  • Manage the project plan tasks, coordinating client and vendor resources and continually evaluate risk and launch readiness
Functional Consulting / Business Analyst Expertise:
  • Provide functional process and design support leading assigned resources through appropriate discussions to understand the current and desired future state of people, processes and software
  • Facilitate workshops/working sessions with appropriate resources to gather feedback
  • Accurately assess the business requirements, pain points and gaps
Market Expertise:

  • Experience managing full lifecycle of project/program execution following established project management methodology of most complex industry projects
  • Experience should include program/project management, systems implementation and optimization, service delivery, process improvement, and vendor evaluation/selection/ management
  • Ability to develop talent acquisition strategies and apply complex talent acquisition concepts in organizations with diverse needs
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of talent acquisition platforms, tools, products and other complimentary technologies to support these platforms
  • Experience configuring software in support of client requirements and identifying creative and acceptable solutions to product gaps to meet client requirements in complex environments
  • Significant knowledge of end-to-end talent acquisition functions (applicant tracking systems, prospect engagement/sourcing, recruitment marketing, talent acquisition analytics, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, consulting management, solution development, operations, and client and industry partnerships
  • Consistently conduct interactions with clients in a timely, professional and responsive manner
  • Set and manage client expectations, handle and resolve conflict
  • Ability to oversee and support junior staff in managing client relationships
  • Deep subject matter expertise in change management encompassing a variety of work-streams including risk assessment, sponsorship modeling, testing, training, communications, resistance management, launch planning, and configuration release
  • Ability to drive faster adoption and greater utilization of changes, to assure business results are achieved
  • Serve as lead architect or advisor for discovery/process review, analysis, and recommendations on highly complex engagements
  • Experience analyzing and transforming raw data into meaningful information and compelling presentations, and conduct trend analyses to determine need for improvement or corrective action
  • Exhibit high level of understanding of best practices relating to organizational design, staff productivity, metrics and reporting, technology, programs and policies
  • Provide thought leadership relating to design and strategy, and share expertise by collaborating and advising clients and/or prospects on complex matters specific to their organization
  • Identify emerging opportunities within the marketplace based on market data, client interaction, discussions with partners, and/or participation in industry organizations and events
  • Ability to work collaboratively and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, independent contractors and clients
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of team members in a consultative environment
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience delivering/managing client facing talent acquisition implementations
  • Experience with one or more of the following systems is desired: Avature, iCIMS, Taleo, Jobvite, CornerstoneOnDemand, SmartRecruiters, GoogleHire, Workday Recruiting, Phenom People, Greenhouse, Lever, SuccessFactors Recruiting, Beamery and Smashfly
  • 7 – 10 years of industry related experience with progressive responsibility
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience managing successful talent acquisition strategy and technology implementation teams
