T3 is looking to bring on a Digital Media Planner for our headquarters in Austin, TX to join the Connections team.
The Connections practice at T3 is a strategic integration of social and media where we put a focus on connecting the right media – owned, earned, paid, shared or borrowed – with the right person, any time, any device, any place.
The Digital Media Planner is a core strategic thinker on the Connections team, ensuring channel, tactics and measurement plan ladder back to the brand's business objectives and priorities. They are subject matter experts at T3, working alongside Dev, Marketing Intelligence, Creative and Client Engagement teams to strategically connect the dots between brand digital ecosystems and media.
Connections talent are also expected to have the ability to tell a compelling and client-focused story that demonstrates how the T3 digital media approach drives measurable and impactful results for the brand.
Responsibilities include:
MEDIA PLANNING
- Has experience in utilizing planning and buying tools and partners (i.e., eMarketer, Forrester, MRI, SEM Rush, Datorama, etc.) for strategic planning as it relates to competitor activity, audience behavior, channel planning, measurement and reporting
- Coordinates RFP review of media partners as well as outreach and negotiation; works hand-in-hand with Sr. Digital Media Planner to make decisions on partner criteria and selection
- Collaborates with other Connections strategists and Strategy and Innovation teams at T3 to brief creative, dev and marketing intelligence teams to bring go-to-market strategies to life
- Assists in the creation of media plans and presentations for client
- Helps lead media coordinator in managing creative asset mandatories and needs and ensures this is communicated to the greater team
MEDIA BUYING
- Leads media buying across display, video, mobile and social channels – owning elements of planning and execution
- Helps manage and mentor media coordinators in day-to-day monitoring, pacing and budget management; collaborates with Sr. Digital Media planners and T3 teams to steward channel and tactical recommendations and optimizations
- Responsible for trafficking ads through 3rd-party server (DCM): follows through to ensure sites are correctly tagged, functioning properly and all materials are received from creative agency
- Creates campaign post launch information such as screenshots, links and placement information to demonstrate proof of placement for clients
- Maintains plan records, insertion orders, contact lists, spec documents, etc.
- Monitors, manages and optimizes self-service paid social activation across Facebook, Twitter and other relevant social environments; includes buy set-up (targeting selections)
- Manages day-to-day communication with key partners
MEASUREMENT AND REPORTING
- Works hand-in-hand with analysts from Marketing Intelligence teams to build campaign performance reporting inclusive of aggregating information from ad-server, third-party attribution and internal analytics
- Creates and evaluates campaign effectiveness via reporting and post campaign analysis
- Monitors and reports weekly on paid performance, providing an active voice communicating optimization opportunities and challenges
The ideal candidate:
- 2+ years of experience managing media planning, buying and management support in an agency environment or in juggling various lines of business/initiatives
- Well-versed and experienced in working across digital as well as social ecosystem; ability to think strategically across all key digital/social touch points
- Stays in touch and up to date with new media opportunities, partners and industry innovation and trends
- Experience with a third-party ad servers
- Strong writing, presentation and strategic and analytical thinking skills
- Curious, open-minded and a team player. Leaves the ego at the door and enjoys fast-pace environments.
