Technical Architect

Description:
This Technical Architect is a master of multiple levels of one or more technology stacks. They help direct the vision of T3’s platform integration and development projects that scale across multiple clients. This architect is also responsible for evaluating new technologies that can help drive the digital development team forward whether that is from a process perspective or a new platform, toolset or framework. The Technical Architect should always be thinking about how to make the development team stronger and more efficient and work with technology leadership to ensure the team is always meeting the high engineering standards at T3.

A Technical Architect will work closely with creative, UX, account services and fellow engineers to bring new technology and innovative solutions to our clients’ strategies. You dazzle us with your code on the most complex projects but just as important mentor and inspire other developers. Technical Architects have an appetite for experimenting with new languages, software solutions and libraries constantly generating new ideas to pitch to our clients.

Your role will include researching solutions, technical architecture, data modeling, along with guiding requirements gathering, project estimates, scopes and long-range planning. You will be proactive developing a range of technology while being acutely aware of the strategic goals of the clients and projects you're focused on. When appropriate, Technical Architects have a client–facing role, most often presenting the technical vision, points of view and fielding the details of specific executions. Your expertise in software development, articulate communication skills, versatility and high energy are all key traits of a successful Technical Architect at T3.

Required Experience:
• Mentor and lead team members both in and outside of development.
• Previous experience building large-scale, enterprise grade digital projects
• Architect platform and development strategies that can scale across projects and clients
• Lead by example with prototypes and API/Library/SDK suggestions
• Ability to self-organize with minimal guidance/competing priorities and work effectively with a team
• Provide innovative and creative solutions to tasks and problems
• Complete work that follows engineering standards and best practices
• Adhere to coding standards and contribute to what the coding standards are
• Perform code reviews for team members as needed!
• Create bulletproof documentation and work with the technology department leadership on documentation standards

Technical Skills
• Experience with a variety of CMS platforms, Commerce platforms, CRM platforms
• Experience with complex platform integrations
- Experience with REST frameworks and approaches to microservice based solutions
• Strong software development expertise in front-end development
• Expert in a few languages or Frameworks, such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Python, PHP, C#, Java, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Wordpress
• Understand the development and implications of the following:
- Responsive Web Development
- REST API
- Social Media
- SEO
- Facebook Application
- CMS, CDP, ECM, CRM
- Localization
- Scaling CMS solutions on cloud architectures such as AWS and Azure
• Expert in OOP, Data Structures, Code Analysis, and Algorithm Design
• Able to write high-quality technical documentation
• Able to debug applications and assist team members in overcoming technical hurdles

Work Style & Work Ethic
• Strong organization skills and knack for detail
• Understand T3 process and contribute ideas for improvements
• Use Jira for bug tracking
• Understand Agile/Scrum development methodologies and contribute to the overall advancement to enhance it at T3
• Always be on the lookout for new technologies, libraries, and APIs to try out or implement into projects or platforms
