Associate Media Director

We have an immediate position available for an Associate Media Director to help lead and forward T3’s digital media practice from our Austin, TX office. 

This role will be responsible for a number of lines of business and you will be empowered to oversee a team of capable planners and coordinators to deliver strategic, comprehensive work to our growing roster of cross-vertical clients. 

Core Responsibilities: 
The ideal candidate should have a background in the buying, execution, and evaluation of digital media while also possessing the ability to tell a compelling and client-focused story that demonstrates how media drives measurable and impactful results for a brand at the macro level. 
  • Exceptional understanding of digital media strategy and tactics with an informed and well-defined POV on the elements of a successful, modern media program 
  • Leads, prepares and delivers digital campaign strategies and oversees plan implementation and execution—managing planners and coordinators for campaign design, trafficking and pacing 
  • Finds opportunities for media partnerships and stewards these relationships to build and futureproof the practice 
  • Works collaboratively with the Measurement and Insights team to find, develop and apply data in order to inform performance, optimizations and recommendations 
  • Works collaboratively across the rest of the Connections practice (social strategy) and cross-functionally with other teams (account, creative, etc.) 
  • Supports new business efforts, acting as a key subject matter expert on RFP responses and/or pitch teams
  • Contributes to T3 marketing and thought leadership initiatives through interviews, conferences and content development 
  • Coaches and mentors junior and identifies key opportunities for their career development

The ideal candidate: 
  • 5+ years of media planning and buying with current or history of agency experience; has worked with both B2B and B2C clients 
  • Exceptional, operational understanding of current and future state digital media landscape and fundamentals 
  • Extensive ability to craft and deliver presentations 
  • Hands on experience with syndicated research tools (comScore, Nielsen, MRI, eMarketer, etc.)
  • Expert working in different self-service social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Snapchat) and DoubleClick Manager (in-house ad server). 
  • Ability to identify, organize, prioritize and manage the workloads for self and junior level media staff
