Associate Director, Digital Strategy

T3’s Strategy + Innovation team is currently seeking an Associate Strategy Director to serve as a leader among a talented group of digital brand strategists and Fortune 500 clients. The role of Associate Strategy Director is a high-level, hands-on position driving the overall strategic vision on one or more high-level accounts. 

Role: The Associate Strategy Director is the tip of the spear for the client team’s thinking, ideation and insight execution. This role works directly with Strategists and Senior Strategists to ensure each account has a vision and ambition and the insights needed to make them happen. The Associate Strategy Director is also expected to act as guide and mentor for Senior Strategists and Strategists as well as have strong relationships with senior creative, UX, content and engagement team members. 

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in strategy development at a high levels, executing research, synthesis, recommendation and path development based on a clear one-year vision for each account.
  • Consistently monitor and report on the strategy team’s performance on accounts. 
  • Ensure that the agency has the appropriate strategy resources in place to succeed - coordinating with other groups to identify resources, processes and actions needed to succeed. 
  • Actively participate in business development, supporting pitches and bringing great business opportunities to life
  • Monitor, coach and provide training in key skills areas including research, reporting, presentation, brief development, facilitations, technology acumen and others.
  • Monitor and report on strategy team utilization levels reporting these facts up to the Strategy Director with recommendations on how to optimize. 
  • Collaborate with peers in other departments and drive the conversation regarding the client’s future.

Cross-Functional Peers/Relationship Expectations: Associate Strategy Director is peer level to other senior discipline practitioners  (UX, Content Strategy, etc.). The most critical relationship will be with the creative, UX and content as well as senior engagement managers.  

Experience/Background: 8-10 years in digital and brand strategy with proven experience managing senior level strategy team members. Must also offer a track record of working directly in business development and face-to-face with agency principles.
