Role
As the Business Development Manager at StreamSets you will be part of a team building a world-class ecosystem of partners who are highly strategic to the company's long-term goals. In this role, you’ll work with Cloud Vendors and our mutual partners to drive the business for StreamSets’s offerings. You do this by being great at devising Go-to-market strategies and driving effective co-sell motions between Microsoft and the StreamSets customer-facing teams. We are looking for self-driven, intelligent, and results-oriented person with good analytical skills who can guide StreamSets towards right partnerships to invest and amplify market reach.
Location: United States (Greater Seattle Metro area or San Francisco Bay Area)
Responsibilities
- Own the execution and influence the strategy for establishing and building effective field level relationships with Cloud Vendors, with an objective to build and drive successful go to market and sales strategies.
- Own the Microsoft co-sell program for the designated region and drive associated customer wins and carry joint revenue targets.
- Conceptualize and create great Go-to-market programs and sales playbooks that can be executed with and through the Microsoft field.
- Deliver sales enablement to ensure the success of StreamSets offerings on Cloud Platforms like Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
- Drive participation in customer case studies, webinars, and other outbound communications.
- Collaborate with various teams at StreamSets including marketing, support, sales, consulting, and others as needed to support the StreamSets success through Cloud partnerships.
- Collaborate closely with the Sales, Presales, Product Management, Marketing and R&D functions to ensure constant collaboration and synchronization between the sales process and partner engagements
- Represent StreamSets at industry events such as trade shows and the Meetups.
Experience and Skills Required
- 5+ years’ experience in partner sales or partner marketing for market-leading enterprise software and SaaS companies or 8+ years of enterprise software sales, product management and/or alliance management experience required, with demonstrated increasing levels of responsibility.
- Ability to manage tactical, day to day items while making steady progress on strategic initiatives.
- Proven success at new business development with a particular focus on driving partner relationships resulting in the acquisition of new customer logos and material revenue focussed engagements.
- Knowledge or familiarity of Cloud technology, market and engagement opportunities a plus.
- Prior experience with managing sales/partnerships with Microsoft, Amazon, especially in the US is a plus.
- Develop strong executive relationships and champions within Cloud Partner organizations.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to manage asymmetrical relationships.
- Ability to prioritize initiatives to maximize the value of the partnership. Ability to focus and motivate internal and external teams to deliver agreed-upon goals.
- Ability to recognize opportunities for solution development, including technical integration. Ability to define and prioritize requirements, and help product management and engineering deliver the integrations in priority order.
- Ability to work on a diverse team and excel in a team-selling environment.
- Bachelor's degree. MBA a plus. Technical competence preferred.
- Willing to travel up to 30% of the time
