Senior Product Marketing Manager

Data is every company’s most underutilized asset. Stardog’s data unification technology effectively eliminates the data silos plaguing today’s enterprises, allowing companies like Bosch, Morgan Stanley, Salesforce, and Ericsson to make better decisions with their data. Stardog is a fast-growing startup based in Arlington, VA and we’re looking for a smart, empathetic, creative, and highly motivated Senior Product Marketing Manager to join our team.  

Product Marketing is responsible for translating technical value to business value in order to help drive Stardog’s growth. You’ll be responsible for developing messaging and collateral, managing monthly product communications, and championing our customers. Most importantly, you’ll synthesize inputs from across the company and data management space to devise new marketing opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Deep dive into how our products are used across multiple industries and provide insight into how we can serve our customers better 
  • Conduct primary and secondary market research to develop personas, messaging, positioning and GTM strategy of our products 
  • Develop, lead and execute launches; create GTM strategies and product launches that ensure adoption and traction with our customers
  • Equip the sales team to win by packaging insights and delivering compelling sales enablement materials 
  • Partner with product management and engineering to influence the roadmap based on market demand, competitor intelligence and customer feedback
  • Show off our customers! Share their journeys and results by authoring customer case studies and blogs 
  • Write polished, engaging copy for our website, blog, and emails
  • Contribute to the growth of product marketing

Skills 
  • Excellent verbal and technical writing skills; strong ability to convey high-level narratives and tell stories
  • Excellent researcher and storyteller; able to independently develop assets such as case studies and blog posts
  • Must have experience working directly with technical buyers and/or users, ideally with exposure to the data management space
  • Experience (and sound judgement) in leveraging data and analytics to inform your decision-making
  • Excellent ability to synthesize information and distill key takeaways
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves to get the job done, no matter the task
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced startup working culture; comfortable operating with ambiguity
  • Ability to prioritize and manage various projects
  • Adept at working cross-functionally and building consensus
  • An excellent teacher
  • Aptitude with PowerPoint slide design and/or Adobe Suite, a plus 
  • Bachelor’s degree; additional marketing or business certifications, a plus
