Research Associate, Immunology

We are seeking highly motivated, detail-oriented, passionate and collaborative Research Associates to join our Research and Development and Business Development teams. Successful candidates will focus on the development of novel cell therapies, and contribute to the design and execution of in vitro studies. The scope of these clinically oriented projects involves utilizing cellular assays and immune cell manipulation. This requires effective collaboration across multiple teams and regular presentation of scientific results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform in vitro primary cell assays using multi-color flow cytometry, ELISA, ELISpot, and cellular and molecular biology methods (PCR, western blotting etc.)
  • Isolation and culture of primary human cells
  • Execute and support immunology-centric experiments monitoring disease 
  • Deliver biomolecules to primary cells utilizing the CellSqueeze platform  
  • Contribute to the experimental design and project direction
  • Meticulously conduct experiments, analyze data, troubleshoot, and communicate findings 
  • Maintain a lab notebook and contribute to supportive documentation when necessary

Candidate Must:
  • Work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment 
  • Demonstrate the ability to design experiments assessing complex biological systems 
  • Demonstrate the ability to critically analyze and present data 
  • Demonstrate attention to detail 
  • Keep up-to-date with the literature related to his/her field 
  • Demonstrate clear and professional verbal and written communication skills

Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS with at least 1-2 years industry experience or MS in life-science related field 
  • Expertise in aseptic technique, and primary cell culture 
  • Hands-on experience with in-vitro immunological assays (Elisa, Elispot, Intracellular cytokine staining) preferred
  • Experience acquiring and analyzing multicolor flow cytometry data a strong plus
  • Familiarity with basic molecular biology techniques (e.g. DNA extraction and PCR) 
  • Experience with GraphPad Prism or similar statistical software preferred 
  • Enthusiastic and passionate team player with strong interpersonal skills 
  • Excellent organizational skills, and “can-do” attitude
