Exploratory Intern

We are seeking highly motivated, detail-oriented, and passionate interns to join our Exploratory teams within Business Development. Successful candidates will spend the majority of their time at the bench supporting the development of novel cell therapies and will contribute to the execution of discovery-based in vitro studies. These roles require a fundamental understanding of molecular biology techniques and an enthusiasm for collaborative research.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform experiments to study immune responses
  • Maintain mammalian cell lines and primary cell cultures
  • Work with CRISPR Cas9 system to edit primary immune cells
  • Utilize Flow Cytometry including staining and analysis 
  • Perform molecular biology techniques such as:
    • DNA/RNA isolation/purification
    • PCR 
    • Restriction enzyme digestion,
    • Gel electrophoresis
    • Protein quantification
  • Support experimental planning and troubleshooting 

Candidate Must:
  • Maintain a lab notebook and contribute to supportive documentation as needed
  • Demonstrate the ability to critically analyze and present data 
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and enthusiasm for a fast-paced work environment
  • Demonstrate clear and professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Posses good aseptic technique and follow basic lab practices 

Basic Qualifications:
  • Majors in biological sciences preferred, completion of lab courses required
  • Experience with Molecular biology techniques such as DNA extraction and PCR
  • Completed coursework in immunology, genetics, cell biology and/or cancer biology a plus
