Temp HR Manager (up to 6 months)

Our current Generalist is going out on maternity leave so we are looking for a dynamic and confident temporary HR  Manager to join our small (but mighty) People team! This role will have a high-touch on all aspects of HR, including employee relations and communications, compliance, performance management, benefits/systems administration, change management, and culture and retention initiatives. You will bring to the table a strong set of project management and people skills combined with a congenital ability to lead and empower those around them. You should be smart, scrappy and someone who can jump right in and optimize our current processes. This role will report to the VP of People.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE 
  • Be the “face” of HR and ensure our people have the tools, resources, and knowledge to do their very best
  • Oversee and manage all benefits administration projects, immigration matters, on-boarding and off-boarding: everything from transactional to strategic planning
  • Maintain employee data within our HRIS (ADP) 
  • Identify and analyze organizational development opportunities to ensure all teams are set up to operate efficiently and effectively
  • Provide coaching to employees & managers, offering thoughtful feedback and advice on issues; ensure an even balance of employee advocacy and company representation
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing personnel data and trends
  • Ensure the company is in compliance with federal and multi-state regulations

KEY QUALIFICATIONS 
  • Minimum of 3+ years HR generalist experience 
  • Strong critical thinker; natural problem solver
  • Proven track record in fast-paced entrepreneur environment where designing and architecting solutions is approached with energy and enthusiasm
  • Self-starting style and successful in a diverse and often ambiguous environment
  • Solid knowledge in the area of modern HR practices
  • Strong background managing projects from launch to execution
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; commitment to develop and earn the trust of others
  • Ability to influence and champion effective change
