THE TEAM
The Financial Analytics team combines the functions of data analytics, business intelligence, and financial planning. We take an end-to-end view of the businesses’ operations and finances. The team has a wide variety of responsibilities: company-wide business intelligence, reporting, dashboard development, forecasting and budgeting, risk management, pricing, and decision support for various business units. We use complex modeling to build connective tissue between raw data and financial performance.

THE POSITION
The Senior Analyst will work in the business intelligence & data analysis segment of the team, focusing on growth initiatives both in the U.S. and globally.
Specifically for this position, the employee is responsible for:
- Assisting on major company growth/expansion opportunities
- Building out various in-depth reporting with Tableau
- Developing complex Excel models to glean insight into company operations
- Optimizing pricing on new and existing products in conjunction with Business Development
- Monitoring and managing company risk
- Providing financial and analytical support to drive the Executive team’s operating decisions
Qualified candidates will have experience developing exceedingly complex financial models in Excel, crafting their own SQL queries and tables, and constructing thorough dashboards using BI visualization tools (e.g. Tableau). This position will also provide other ad hoc analyses and data as needed. This role provides opportunities to work on challenging projects with virtually every team in the company, requiring the employee to use their creativity and analytical skills to craft solutions. The position reports to an Analytics Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- In-depth exploration of causes and trends to identify problems/opportunities
- Utilization of financial models that simulate and forecast business elements
- Creation and redesign of dashboards and their underlying data structures to support the needs of various teams
- Quantification of uncertainty and statistical variance in projections/scenarios
- Ad hoc support of the sales, finance, and operational departments
- Improve processes for current reporting, automation, frequency, and efficiency
- Ensure integrity of financial models, reporting, and databases
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-6 years of work experience as an analyst, or similar position
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field is required
- Advanced degree (i.e.: an MBA or Masters in an analytics-oriented field) is a plus
- Familiarity with operational and financial modeling is required
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with large data volumes required
- Hands-on experience with BI reporting tools required (Tableau preferred)
- Ability to set and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong writing, presentation, and organizational skills
