WHAT YOU’LL REALLY DO
  • Participate in constructive inter-department and agency initiatives
  • Mentor and lead Creative staff, pushing the Creative team to think beyond what the client has asked for
  • Speak, judge, perform informational interviews, and participate in the larger creative community
  • Own small and medium size projects
  • Plan and direct many aspects of assigned projects, serving as an integral member of the Creative team
  • Meet project goals and timelines for self and others assigned to a project
  • Lead teams in a project setting (brainstorming, concepting, critiquing work)
  • Translate established creative direction into conceptual ideas
  • Qualify, prioritize, and delegate workloads for your team(s)
  • Assist with estimation through a thorough understanding of the scope of a project
  • Manage internal details of assigned projects, including working and coordinating with Production and Account staff
  • Create and execute award-winning work that achieves clients’ objectives
  • Follow strategic creative direction of senior Creative staff and Account staff
  • Write in multiple styles for multiple formats, reflecting an understanding of brand tone
  • Appraise and edit your own work
  • Partner with Art Director/Designer to ensure that the art direction supports the concept
  • Create a range of concepts with little oversight

HOW YOU’LL DO THIS
  • Understand the various departments and how various roles work within those departments
  • Strong time management

  • Strong conceptual and executional skills
  • Objectively look at a brand in contrast to the subjectivity of your personal taste
  • Be highly responsible, collaborative, and self-motivated
  • Enthusiastically and respectfully work with other project team members
  • Understand how a project team operates, what their responsibilities are throughout a project, and what is expected in critiques and team meetings
  • Have a strong knowledge of clients’ business objectives, brand, consumer, and competitive landscape to inform insightful design ideas
  • Command different writing styles/tones
  • Understand how to architect a strong story arch

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR FROM YOU
  • 3-5 years of digital and/or advertising copywriting experience
  • Strong, diverse creative portfolio
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Curiosity for new technologies and emerging trends
  • Background in marketing and technology preferred
  • Experience mentoring or managing associates and/or interns
