VP Strategy | Minneapolis

Position Overview
The VP of Strategy is responsible for leading the strategy group in space150’s Minneapolis office. The VP Strategy is an innovator, collaborator, progressive-thinker and strategist. The ideal candidate is someone who is driven, curious, solution-oriented, and willing to hit ‘refresh’ on antiquated planning structures. Responsible for leading our brand, innovation, social, connection and content strategists to develop and uncover solutions that will uncover fresh and innovative insights/business opportunities and inspire original ideas and consistent execution. You will destroy conventions to create demand.

  • Lead, inspire, grow, manage and empower the space150 strategy department
  • Identify short-term and long-term strategy department goals
  • Ensure strong collaborative relationships within the group, and externally with key agency and client partners to consistently evaluate the quality of thinking and ideas applied to the client business
  • Drive agency to ensure that our work is leading the industry
  • By example and direction foster a reputation for strategic excellence
  • Gain trust from senior clients, and new business prospects, by selling and delivering strategic solutions that are unique, innovative and drive business results
  • Has a firm understanding of where culture is and where culture is headed
  • Stays current on digital and cultural trends and cultivate an environment of pushing boundaries to stay ahead of the competition
  • Provide leadership, direction and relevant insights that will guide the social media resources and integrated marketing communications planning for clients
  • Drive strategic thinking on Social Media across our agency that reflects changes in user behaviors, technology and the competitive landscape
  • Evolve the agency’s POV with regards to social design, social computing, and social media campaigns 
  • Drive constant improvement in space150’s quality and capabilities; continuously striving to enhance our competitive edge
  • Develop and implement strategic planning tools to foster growth and consistency across projects
  • Aggressively pursue new ways to contribute to overall agency health
  • Oversees the strategic workflow and output as a whole, ensuring strategy standards meet or exceed expectations
  • Direct and guide strategy reviews and explorations on all brands within the agency
  • Cultivate solid relationships with client management personnel, as well as with management in other departments of the agency
  • Participation in the agency’s most critical decision-making deliberations
  • Work in collaboration with space150s executive leadership team to ensure progress towards agency vision

  • Able to lead a diverse group
  • Ability to merge strategy with concepts and action
