Currently our client is seeking a highly motivated IT professional for the position of Information Technology Associate for our field services team. In this role you will have the opportunity to provide a wide variety of on-site customer-facing IT help desk support services to Varsity customers. This position also requires the ability to work independently, use excellent judgement in time-sensitive situations, exceptional time-management skills, and the ability to adapt to changes as they arise. This position reports to the Director of Managed Services.
- Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- On-site IT technical support and troubleshooting for T1 or T2 tickets for clients in/around the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Close technology support tickets in a courteous, efficient and effective manner.
- Detailed documentation of technology diagnostics and ticket resolution.
- Flexible schedule at variety of Bay Area clients in a Monday-Friday 8am-6pm IT operation with occasional weekend project work.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years in a technology service help desk or similar role
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a direct customer facing role
- Systems experience: MS Active Directory, Exchange 2010/2013, basic SQL databases, VMware/vCenter, Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop, group policy management
- Networking experience: Meraki, Cisco, firewall (FortiGate and CiscoASA), Citrix NetScaler, TCP/IP protocol, IP addressing, VPN, networking design, SSL certificates
- Public/private cloud technologies like Office 365, Google apps, etc.
- Ability to configure and maintain firewalls, switches, wireless access points, physical servers, storage systems (RAID, iSCSI, etc.), UPS
- Backup solutions and methodology (local and offsite replication)
- Experience configuring and supporting client operating systems Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X
- Experience with iOS and Android (mobile devices and tablets)
- Valid California driver's license and car insurance
- Driving record in good standing
- Authorization to work in the USA
