Inside Sales Representative

Our client is seeking a highly motivated inside sales representative to be an integral part of our sales team. This is an excellent fit for a dynamic individual who is outgoing, personable, and detailed-oriented. To be successful in this role you should be able to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, provide fast responses and follow-up to sales and customer service inquiries, work collaboratively with your team members, and have excellent time-management skills. 
The position is responsible for creating customer quotes and proposals, place orders, coordinate fulfillment, and provide customer service to clients. Additional activities include working with the sales team, project engineers and services departments to develop new solutions for clients. 

The position requires at least 2 years of inside sales experience and at least 1 year of IT sales or direct service experience. Prior experience with technology procurement preferred. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Sales: 
  • Respond to customer quote requests. 
  • Research and verify product and service information. 
  • Create, deliver, and close quotes. 
  • Assist with creation of quotes and proposals for sales team. 
  • Respond to new sales requests and opportunities in the sales CRM  
  • Update activities and opportunities daily with the sales CRM 
  • Provide sales account management team with annual client budgets that include maintenance renewal costs and costs for product replacements 
  • Develop and maintain quote templates 
  • Work with accounting team to reconcile orders and invoices 
Customer Service: 
  • Provide a great customer experience by providing consistent and timely responses, follow-through, and follow-up 
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients 
  • Escalate urgent issues to the appropriate Varsity staff person as needed 
 
Sales Ordering: 
  • Verify product/service accuracy of order with engineers, manufacturer, and or distributor 
  • Verify quote, pricing, fees information is accurate prior to order placement 
  • Identify the best source for product pricing and availability. 
  • Place orders for approved product and project quotes. 
  • Track orders and provide timely order updates and information to internal staff and clients. 
  • Confirm items are received and ready for deployment and billing. 
  • Coordinate returns and replacements, as necessary.  
  • Work with accounting team on any billing, payment, pricing discrepancies as needed. 
  • Communicate updates to client, services, billing, and project teams as required 
  • Optimize procurement process to maintain response & turnaround times on par or better than industry estimates 

Product Knowledge/Education: 
  • Maintain list of manufacturer products and vendor partners 
  • Keep sales certifications current for primary vendor/manufacturer partners 
  • Maintain relationship with manufacturers through monthly and quarterly calls 
  • Attend product webinars from manufacturers to stay current on latest technology advancements 
  • Be a go-to resource for product knowledge and expertise 
  • Complete licensing courses for major software manufactures including Microsoft, Adobe, Google, and others as needed  
  • Coordinate product information from vendors/manufacturers and provide regular updates to product information to clients
