This position is full-time and is based at our Charleston, SC Headquarters.
Responsibilities
As a Developer - Front End (Web Applications), your responsibilities include:
- Converting high-level user stories into low-level, implementable, tasks
- Designing web applications and features based on internal and external client requirements
- Building web-based solutions, which includes our client interaction portal
- Implementing features tied to use cases and user stories
- Working with common structures and paradigms for transferring web scale data between apps and enterprise data storage (JSON, Protocol Buffers, Websockets, Database Connectors, Enterprise Scale File Upload/Download)
- Developing internal standards around system scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Providing exposure to emerging technologies within your discipline
Requirements
- 3+ years experience designing and implementing web application systems
- Strong, working knowledge of web & application languages / frameworks (Angular, Python, Go, SQL, JavaScript, Node.js, etc.)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong, working knowledge of UI/UX concepts
The following are preferred, but not required:
- Previous experience in development with Compiled languages (C, C++, Go, Java, etc.).
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in a relevant field
- Experience in Security practices, web application penetration testing, cryptography, data analysis, etc.
- Experience with containerization, deployment, and orchestration software such as docker, kubernetes, and or mesos in a production environment
