Job Overview
The Senior Manager of Retention Marketing will work alongside acquisition to build retention programs that delight, engage, and retain customers. The role will require a deep knowledge of email marketing, segmentation and cohort analysis, marketing automation tools, and loyalty programs. Top-notch strategic, analytical, and creative skills are required as the role is expected to significantly impact performance and drive overall company success.

  • Own end to end retention marketing strategies, from ideation, development to execution and reporting of campaigns via appropriate marketing channels
  • Work cross functionally with marketing, creative, product and customer support teams 
  • Constantly stay informed with best in class acquisition, retention and advocacy practices
  • Quickly identify and troubleshoot any campaign performance issues, and drive successful resolutions
  • Approve, establish and enforce direct communication rules and restrictions
  • Conduct ongoing A/B testing to optimize and increase the effectiveness of marketing efforts
  • Develop a deep understanding of what resonates with our customers, create and implement cross-channel, end-to-end customer journeys
  • Optimize business rules that automate and drive content, triggers, audience segmentation, channel selection, creative messaging and communications cadence
  • Define and document campaigns in marketing briefs, collaborate with creative teams to develop creative assets, partner with marketing team members for social media and PR support, as well as to secure, execute and measure performance of media placements
  • Project manage milestones, tasks, and dependencies across all relevant departments/functions when it comes to launching and sun setting campaigns

  • A marketing background with 7+ years of retention marketing experience
  • A team player who can work side-by-side with other marketers, designers, writers, developers and analysts
  • A team player willing to take direction but also exhibit initiative when working independently
  • A marketer with a proven track record working at the strategic and tactical level to develop and execute innovative and effective campaigns
  • Experienced with working with Product and Tech teams to create optimal customer journeys and experiences
  • A strong analytical and problem solver with a data driven approach
  • Be happy stepping up to meet goals with a sense of urgency and excitement
  • Take pride in detail, organization, and analysis
