Part-Time Customer Experience Agent

Job Overview
We are seeking an outgoing, organized, and friendly customer service agents to join our growing team and provide top-notch service to our customers via a blend of digital and face-to-face communication. In this role, you will interact directly with our customers to answer questions, solve problems, provide education, and maintain Soko Glam’s reputation for high-quality service.
This is a great role for a recent graduate who’s interested in gaining experience in skincare, e-commerce start-ups, and/or beauty. The role requires a commitment of max 20 hours a week, mostly during weekends and holidays but with some need for in-office time during normal business hours. Training will take place during business hours (M-F) at our New York Headquarters in collaboration with our New York based team.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include owning the bulk of customer inquiries on all platforms, including being present in-store to interact and form relationships with our community.
- Generate interest in new products or services via product and skincare knowledge and education
- Provide information and instructions about relevant products and services
- Make product and service suggestions to meet the customer’s specific needs
- Field and promptly respond to all customer inquiries in-person (in-store presence required) and/or submitted via our website, The Klog, email, and other customer support portals
- Partner with Marketing team to perform community management on all social platforms (facebook, instagram, youtube, etc) by responding to direct messages to address customer needs and concerns
- Process orders and returns
- Document important customer information for future reference
- Collect and record customer feedback and information, and share that with appropriate departments and team members to ensure we are providing timely resolutions
- Foster and maintain relationships with customers to improve our retention rate
Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in a customer service-related role, preferably within the beauty industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding interpersonal skills; ability to foster and maintain relationships
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage numerous projects and priorities at once
- Positive and service-oriented attitude
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment
- Basic computer skills
- Proven problem-solving skills
Compensation:
Starting at $17.00 / hour, commensurate with experience
