Part-Time PR & Events Intern (Fall 2019)

Job Overview
The PR & Events Intern will support general administrative needs of the Soko Glam and Then I Met You Public Relations team. Great opportunity for someone with solid organizational and communication skills and a passion for PR, looking to gain exposure and experience in various aspects of the beauty industry. 

Responsibilities include but not limited to
  • Assisting with ideation for current marketing campaigns
  • Drafting press releases, phone/email pitches and vendor communication
  • Researching creative delivery ideas and executing send outs
  • Managing product inventory and compiling/maintaining media lists
  • Assisting in media, influencer and company events
  • Researching industry news and other beauty/company related items
  • Tracking press clips and awards while maintaining the clipping library
  • Assisting with other special projects as needed

Qualifications
  • Must be able to commit at least 20 hours a week, for a minimum of 12 weeks
  • Undergraduate or graduate student majoring in Communications or a related field of study
  • A positive attitude with good organizational, presentation, and writing skills
  • Creative, dynamic, ambitious, and self-motivated
  • Organization and attention to detail
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, and Power Point) and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc)
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent follow-through skills
  • Thorough understanding of Social Media including Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, Snapchat and Pinterest

Fall 2019 Internship Details:
  • Program Dates: September 9-November 29th (12 week internship)
  • This is a Part-Time Internship opportunity (min of 20 hrs/week)
  • Compensation: $11/hour monthly Stipend
