Social Media and Community Manager

Job Overview:
The Social Media and Community Manager is a position on the Soko Glam marketing team that delivers the company mission on social platforms on a daily basis while growing and developing the community and brand engagement.

Responsibilities:
  • Partner with Senior Brand and Communications Manager on strategies to grow the community while continuing to increase brand engagement
  • Develop and manage social media content, growth, engagement, and conversion strategies across all platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat, Twitter, Youtube, etc.)
  • Lead creative thinking in social strategy to develop social community through innovative campaigns and initiatives across social platforms
  • Plan, create and execute engaging, original, and high-quality content (images, videos, articles) that aligns with ongoing marketing initiatives and campaigns 
  • Manage editorial content calendar and social media posting schedules across all platforms
  • Develop and coordinate collaborations with influencers, like-minded brands and tastemakers to create unique content that will drive engagement, follower growth and brand awareness
  • Plan and manage social media giveaways, sweepstakes, social referrals, etc.
  • Collaborate with Marketing team to plan and execute social content supporting bigger marketing campaign initiatives and goals
  • Coordinate social media content surrounding Soko Glam events including promotion, live videos and pictures during the events, and post event roundups
  • Monitor and evaluate social media performance analysis on a daily basis for review of KPI’s such as likes, views, shares, retweets, repins, comments, impressions, and follower growth
  • Evaluate analytics to affect social media strategy and content for constant optimization and growth plan
  • Monitor, listen and respond to users within the Soko Glam social community while cultivating leads and sales
  • Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years social media marketing experience in beauty, fashion or retail
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field
  • Passion for social media and digital marketing
  • A balance of creativity and detail-oriented common sense
  • Highly competitive, goal-oriented nature
  • Has the ability and eye to shoot and edit high quality photos
  • Excel in a dynamic, collaborative, open-concept work environment.
  • Excel working cross-functionally with other teams, and will pitch in and help colleagues if needed 
  • A do-er, not a delegator
  • Professional editing and/or writing experience
  • Understanding of the digital and social media universe, with a deep understanding of all platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strategic thinker and self-starter, specifically in identifying innovative partnership opportunities with our social media platforms
  • Strong execution skills, both cross-team and with third parties
  • Ability to communicate results to team and management and to thrive in a fast paced environment
  • Experience negotiating with outside vendors, including negotiating contracts, resolving issues, and reconciling differences
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Point
