Commercial Account Executive for Australia & New Zealand

To continue on our expansion mission and keep up with the market demand, Socialbakers is expanding its sales team in the region in Sydney, Australia.

A Commercial Account Executive is responsible for selling the Socialbakers value proposition to qualified inbound leads and self-sourced prospects. Targeted clients will consist of brands, companies, as well as media and agencies. Travel will be required.

Socialbakers is looking for a Commercial Account Executive with a strong track record of success in SaaS or technology related sales in the Australia and New Zealand markets. Not only will you be an accomplished closer of BDR generated leads, you will have an aggressive hunter mentality to build your own pipeline, penetrate accounts at the budget owner and decision maker level and own the entire sales process from demo through to signature.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sell value and consistently close new business at or above quota level 
  • Serve as a brand enthusiast for Socialbakers’ suite of products and solutions 
  • Develop a deep level of knowledge and expertise in the Socialbakers Suite solution, product features, pricing and packaging, competitive comparisons, and common sales objections
  • Generate quality partnerships and create demand through your personal rolodex of prospects and outbound prospecting
  • Build relationships with prospects and internal stakeholders to grow new business 
  • Partner closely with a dedicated Business Development Representative and your Regional Sales Manager to develop and execute a plan for the assigned territory and accounts
  • Work collaboratively with marketing and technology departments to execute an effective and relevant sales strategy (as the firm introduces enhancements to existing solutions and/or releases new products) 
  • Be a CRM ninja updating Salesforce regularly with up to date contacts, meeting notes, accurate forecast close dates and status of live deals in your pipeline
  • Bring creative ideas, strategies, and skills to advance our company’s values, unique culture, and vision for the future 

Skills & Qualifications

  • At least 3+ years of successful sales experience within SaaS, web technologies, online media or digital marketing
  • Knowledge of digital marketing is required, knowledge of social media would be a big advantage 
  • Fluent business level of English is a must
  • Experience in a startup environment would be a big plus 
  • Track record of consistent individual quota attainment and experience within a sales team that exceeded sales goals
  • A great work ethic and competitive drive to be the best 
  • Exceptional sales, communication, presentation, negotiation and closing skills
  • Last but not least, tons of energy, passion, humour, compassion, and enthusiasm
