  • Job Summary
    The Snowpine Lodge is hiring foodservice professionals. In the summer, our restaurant is open 7 nights a week for dinner service, as well as brunch on Saturday and Sunday. In the winter, we serve 3 meals a day, 7 days a week. Servers will work shifts both in the restaurant as well as special events and banquets held throughout the hotel. Shifts will vary week to week, depending on hotel demand and employee availability. Join the Snowpine team and enjoy working at the top of Little Cottonwood Canyon!     Responsibilities and Duties
    • Provide excellent service to ensure customer satisfaction throughout all hotel food and beverage outlets (Swen’s Restaurant, The Gulch Pub, and special event/banquet spaces)
    • Engage with customers and hotel guests, answer questions about the menu as well as the area
    • Learn all restaurant and bar menus and be able to properly answer questions/offer menu suggestions
    • Take customer orders. Deliver food and beverages in a professional and timely manner 
    • Assist with all daily set-up, side work, break-down, and clean-up duties (ensure completion of all duties before the end of shift)
    • Communicate closely with kitchen staff for all food orders, including any special requests or dietary restrictions
    • Do your part to maintain overall cleanliness and organization of all server workspaces 
    • Work effectively with all FOH team members to provide the optimum dining experience for our guests
    • Work closely with banquet staff/staff from other departments to successfully execute special events
    • Complete daily server reports and file the appropriate paperwork in a timely manner

    Skills and Physical Requirements
    • Previous fine-dining restaurant experience preferred (1-2 years)
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Punctuality required
    • Team Oriented
    • Familiarity with Silverware POS preferred, but not required 
    • Utah Food Handler's and Utah Alcohol Server required (may be obtained after hire)
    • Reliable transportation and familiarity with the commute up the canyon
    • Able to work long shifts and extended hours on your feet; standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs
    • Repetitive movements including, but not limited to; bending, lifting, stretching, writing, typing, etc.

    Experience and Education
    • Minimum of 1-year of prior fine dining serving experience required
    • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age
    • High School Diploma or GED preferred 


    Compensation
    • On-site housing is available on a limited basis
    • Full-time seasonal or year-round employees are eligible for a ski pass benefit at Alta Ski Area
    • Employee meals provided in the winter season
    • Servers make $7.25/hour +tips
