Residential Interior Designer

Our client is seeking a dynamic Interior Designer with a minimum of 3-5 years of post-bachelor degree experience in residential interior design. Based in Seattle, our work is global and diverse.

Candidates should possess a strong design sensibility and a desire to learn and contribute to our projects with enthusiasm, excellent collaboration and communication skills, outstanding graphic ability, and interest in working on all phases of interior design work. Candidates should have strong technical skills and be willing and able to travel. 

Primary Job Responsibilities 
· Team with a creative group of interior designers and architects in all aspects of project work from concept through construction documentation, including furnishings selections, budgeting and installation.
· Develop design concepts, solutions and presentations for residential, hospitality and commercial
interiors based on direction given by senior and intermediate designers and architects. 
· Research architectural finish materials based on functional criteria and a high level of design.
· Develop architectural finish, plumbing and appliance specifications, schedules and interior detailing.
· Preparing concept and sample presentations including drawings and renderings.
· Source furnishings, develop furnishings budgets, FF&E specifications, and assist with custom furniture concepting and detailed drawings for fabrication.
· Program and space planning for various work types and environments.
· Demonstrate knowledge of interior code requirements, and building systems.

Technical Proficiencies 
· Proficient in Revit. 
· Fluent in CAD, Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office Suite. 

Training and Experience 
· Minimum 4-year Degree in Interior Design or equivalent. 
· Minimum of three years of experience working with an architectural or interior design firm.  
· Strong analytical, conceptual, organizational and time management skills. 
· Concise, personable verbal and written communication skills. 
· Knowledge of furniture, material and building finish products suitable for residential, hospitality or
commercial projects. 
· Must have interior construction knowledge to assist in design detailing and construction
documentation. 
· Knowledge of LEED or Well Building Standards.
· Experience with FF&E purchasing process is a plus.
