Senior Technical Recruiter

We build autonomous robots for agriculture. We work with and for growers to help them move away from chemical-based processes and face the labor crisis that is transforming the face of agriculture. 
In partnership with some of the largest vegetable growers in California, we are developing a mechanical weeding robot which drives itself throughout the field, distinguishes weeds among many varieties of different crops through machine learning and computer vision, and cut weeds out using knives in the ground. 
After raising more than $6m in private funding, our team of 15 people (Stanford, Columbia and MIT alumni) is currently deploying the first set of machines to Californian farms. 

Job Description

We are looking for a Technical Recruiter to to help grow our teams across all departments.  As our first recruiter, you will have the challenging task of building our entire team across all departments. You will be responsible for growing a variety of teams from Software and Hardware engineering to Operations, Manufacturing and Sales. You'll work with the management team on strategy and will own full-cycle recruiting including leading searches and delivering a best-in-class candidate experience. You are the gatekeeper for driving our culture of high performance. 
Your responsibilities include:

  • Deploy a variety of sourcing methods to build candidate pipelines for all functional teams, focusing primarily on hardware engineering, software engineering and operations. 
  • Use all resources and techniques to source, including inbounds and referrals.
  • Own the recruiting strategy and execution including setting up metrics and goals to hit the necessary objectives to bring talent in-house
  • Identify high quality candidates vs focus on quantity
  • Analyze and report on key hiring funnel metrics and optimize the hiring cycle, which might include changing the job description or the sourcing approaches. 
  • Find and attend job fairs and industry events.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree (Science Degree preferred)
  • At least 3 years of in-house technical recruiting & sourcing experience required or of agency technical recruiting & sourcing experience.
  • A proven track record deploying creative sourcing methods attract top talent
  • A metrics-driven problem-solving skills
  • Exemplary communication and presentation skills (Includes presenting all recruiting data/information to all levels of an organization)
  • Technically savvy
