Business Development Representative

Slice Communications, a Public Relations, Social Media, and Email Marketing agency, is looking to hire a Sales and Business Development Representative for an immediate position in our Philadelphia, PA office. 

This position will be focused on prospecting and cultivating sales relationships. You will work extensively with senior management on strategically targeting qualified new business leads, proactively pursuing opportunities, and closing new business. We are looking for a candidate with 3+ years of experience. The role will include: 

  • Proactively targeting and qualifying potential clients
  • Developing a target list based on agency goals and objectives 
  • Outbound lead generation (note: hunter mentality a big plus!)
  • Qualifying incoming leads via the website, phone, or referrals 
  • Attending approximately 2-10 networking events and meetings per week, including evening events
  • Managing communication with prospects 
  • Researching all prospects and prepping team prior to meetings
  • Understanding prospects business model, drivers, goals and challenges
  • Developing presentations for all new business meetings with qualified prospects
  • Writing and submitting all proposals to prospects
  • Leading new business meetings and presentations when appropriate 
  • Negotiating and securing contracts 
  • Incorporating best practices from training and experience 
  • Tracking all deals in Zoho, including providing reports 
  • Coordinating with marketing on all marketing materials, events, mailings, etc.
  • Workinging seamlessly with the client service team on knowledge transfer of new deals

  • 3+ years relevant sales/business development experience
  • Occasional travel is required in this position
