Business Development Director - Philadelphia, PA

Slice Communications, a Public Relations and Social Media agency, is looking to hire a Sales and Business Development Leader for an immediate position in our Philadelphia, PA office. This position will be focused on prospecting and cultivating sales relationships. This will be a high-level opportunity working extensively with senior management on strategically targeting qualified new business leads, proactively pursuing opportunities, and facilitating the overall sales and business development process. We are looking for someone with 7+ years of experience.  The role will include:

Sales Targeting and Outreach
  • Proactively targeting and qualifying potential clients
  • Developing a target list based on agency goals and objectives 
  • Qualifying incoming leads via the website, phone, or referrals 
  • Attending networking events and meetings
  • Setting up, coordinating, and preparing for sales meetings
  • Managing communication with prospects 
  • Leading every step of the sales process

Presentation and Proposal Development
  • Researching all prospects and prepping team prior to meetings
  • Developing presentations for all new business meetings with qualified prospects
  • Writing and submitting all proposals to prospects, with approval of prinicipals 
  • Leading new business meetings and presentations when appropriate 
  • Negotiating and securing contracts 

Sales Process Development and Implementation 
  • Developing and documenting sales process
  • Revising guidelines for qualified leads
  • Working with marketing to update profile of best prospect
  • Developing steps in process, including items to be checked, steps to take, and roles and responsibilities 
  • Incoming
  • Outbound
  • RFI / RFP 
  • Incorporating best practices from training and experience 
  • Tracking all prospects in Zoho, including updating status, and producing reports for sales meetings 
  • Project managing development of all sales materials
  • Coordinating with marketing on all marketing materials, events, mailings, etc.
  • Overseeing team of sales support people / interns
