Skylo Technologies is hiring a Sr Antenna Design Engineer to join our product engineering team and lead the Antenna subsystem. In this role you will be responsible for all the the aspects of the antenna subsystems in our product, including architecture , design , simulation , prototyping and manufacturing. This is a terrific opportunity for an experienced Antenna Design Engineer to take end-to-end responsibility and work on a highly transformative new product.

Responsibilities
- Architect, design, prototype, and validate Antenna subsystems for multi radio product ( WiFi, BT, Zigbee, Satcom ).
- Collaborate vendors on driving the execution of the antenna subsystem.
- Drive the mass production optimization of the RF subsystem Size,BOM, power efficiency, and packaging.
- Specify system\software requirements for antenna sub-system control.
- Test antenna and array prototypes in near-field anechoic chamber and outdoor far field range to verify gain, cross-pol isolation, sidelobes along with all other parameters critical to antennas.
- Perform system analysis of the Antenna subsystem as it relates to overall performance of wireless networks.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience designing antennas in the sub-6GHz bands including all aspects of system design along the passive RF path i.e. Radiators, Phase Shifters, Diplexers, Splitters, Couplers etc
- Design and simulate antennas using CST and/or HFSS.
- Masters/Phd degree in RF/Antenna engineering.
- Lab and hands on all aspects of RF design.
- Experience in multi radio systems ( WiFI , BT, Satcomm).
- Skilled in thorough documentation and presentation of antenna design concepts, simulation results, and test results.
- Must possess excellent communication skills both in written and in verbal form.
- Must demonstrate leadership abilities to influence senior engineering and management team
Experience/expertise
- Design of RF front end modules, layout, simulation.
- Specially highly integrated FEMs.
- Experience with sub 6 Ghz high gain antenna design.
- Experience in multi radio products ( Wifi\BT\Zigbee ).
- Was part of a team that built and shipped a product.
- Previous experience in a fast-moving startup environment is preferred.
- Experience with RF design tools and EM Antenna simulation tools such as CST , ADS/AWR, HFSS, Sonnet / Axiem and others.
