Systems Integrator | S Clearance

SIXGEN would like to add an ambitious, dedicated, and self-motivated Systems Integrator to our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Integrate modernized software platforms within Government networks
  • Work closely with customers and Lead Engineer to ensure that data is properly safeguarded, transitioned to modern software platform, and securely integrated according to network configuration policies
  • Troubleshoot issues with integration processes
  • Maintain records of important aspects of a customer's database architecture
  • Ensure security of systems which will include: data migration, database backup/recovery strategy monitoring strategy to maximize availability of the database
  • Support and assist development team in the testing, tuning and implementation of database applications
  • Migrate, administer and maintain databases for mission systems and applications 
  • Develop database reports for mission systems and applications
  • Support the Frontline Engineer in publishing, diagnosing, repairing, managing/maintaining web applications
  • Migrate existing client data sets onto the new data integration platform

Required Experience:
  • Relevant experience in data migration, database architecture, or system integration 
  • Knowledge of SQL Server performance tuning, backup and recovery methods
  • Deploying databases into cloud environments
  • Migrating data into new data environments
  • Working knowledge of modern software development practices such as Agile methodologies and DevOps
  • Experience planning, designing, developing and administering database systems, including base definition, structure, documentation, requirements, operational guidelines and protection.
  • Experience testing designed applications and web data connections.

Highly Desired Experience/Certification:
  • eMASS certification, Risk Management Framework, and Authority to Operate activities 
  • Experience with developing software using Object Oriented Programming
  • Website/web services as well as traditional IT networking, operations, management, and security experience
  • Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Ability to work on team projects and on individual projects with minimal supervision

Education Requirements:
  • BS or BA in Computer Science or related field with 10 years experience

Work Schedule and Location: 
  • Core hours may be selected by candidate to include an 8-hour work day between 6am-6pm, 5 days per week
  • Work will be on-site in Arlington, VA
